Community Storm Shelters – ITB 2025-49
Madison County, AL

Madison County, Alabama is seeking sealed bids for providing and installing a community storm shelter at the following locations:
1) Construct one (1) 10’ x 48’ community storm shelter at Bobo Volunteer Fire-Rescue located at 7982 Old Railroad Bed Road, Ardmore, AL 35739; Minimum occupancy: 87 persons for two (2) hours.
2) Construct one (1) 10’ x 48’ community storm shelter at Harvest Volunteer Fire-Rescue located at 9109 Wall Triana Hwy, Harvest, AL 35749; Minimum occupancy: 87 persons for two (2) hours.
The Contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, materials, and services required to complete the Work according to the conditions and specifications in the bid package. The bid package can be obtained from the Madison County website at www.madisoncountyal.gov. The Contractor is responsible for checking the Madison County website for any posted addenda.
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on the 7th Floor of the Madison County Courthouse, 100 Northside Square, Huntsville, AL 35801, at 2:00 PM on July 30, 2025. TJ Bell will be the point of contact and can be contacted by phone at (256) 746-2900 or by email at tbell@madisoncountyal.gov. Last day for questions will be 2:00 PM on July 24, 2025. A Bid Bond is required to be submitted with the bid. Performance Bond, Payment Bond and evidence of insurance will be required prior to execution of the contract. The period of performance is 90 calendar days.
