Walk-In Cooler Repairs/Refurbishment
The Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission DBA U.S. Space & Rocket Center seeks proposals from qualified firms to replace and update the refrigeration equipment for three (3) existing walk in food coolers.
The purpose for this RFP is to have interested and qualified professionals provide a proposal which details the replacement of the exterior condensers, interior evaporators, and all line sets connecting these components.
All potential bidders may request via email a copy of all project drawings and additional specifications related to this bid. Drawings and Specifications may also be examined at the office of the Director of Procurement, U.S. Space and Rocket Center, One Tranquility Base, Huntsville, Al 35805
An Optional Prebid meeting being held on Wednesday 07/16/25 at 2:00PM CST in the Main Lobby of the Administrative Entrance located at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, 1 Tranquility Base, Huntsville, AL 35805
Bids must be submitted on DCM C-3 Bid Proposal forms. Additional documentation includes a detailed Itemized Quote on Vendor Letterhead, Certificate of Insurance, E-Verify, Al Vendor Disclosure Statement, AL Business License, and Vendor W9 form. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General
Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975 and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner’s judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
Sealed proposals will be received by the Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission d/b/a U.S. Space and Rocket Center at the office of Sam Mitchell, Director of Procurement, U.S. Space and Rocket Center, at the ETF Building 1st Floor, Room #109, One Tranquility Base, Huntsville, Al 35805 until Thursday 07/24/25 at 2:00pm CST. At which time and place, each seal bid will be publicly opened and read into the record.
