Legal Notice
Legal Notice is hereby given that Joe Wheeler Electric Membership Corporation, organized and existing under and by virtue of Title 37, Chapter 6, Code of Alabama, 1975, has filed its Petition with the Alabama Department of Finance for consent to sign as a guarantor on promissory notes issued to its subsidiary, JWEMC Communications, LLC to the sum of $18,000,000.00 from CoBank over a three (3) year period in order to pay back an intercompany loan to Joe Wheeler EMC. The said loan(s) will also fund future capital expenditures and operating costs. Said loan(s) will not be added to the financial statements of Joe Wheeler EMC, nor would it encumber the members of Joe Wheeler EMC in any way unless the loan(s) becomes in default by JWEMC Communications, LLC. Amortized payments of principal and interest shall be paid monthly to CoBank by JWEMC Communications, LLC. The total amount borrowed will not exceed $18,000,000.00.
This Petition has been set down to be heard on the 5th day of June, 2025 at 1:00 oýclock p.m. at the office of the Chief Legal Counsel, Alabama Department of Finance, 600 Dexter Avenue, Room E-317, Alabama State Capitol, Montgomery, Alabama. All persons in interest may appear and contest the Petition if they see fit to do so.
