The Decatur Daily, a five-day daily covering three counties in north Alabama, is investing in its newsroom as it seeks to produce more quality
journalism. We are looking for a general assignment reporter who is able to develop sources, dig for stories of
importance to our readers, handle hard news and tell a compelling story.
The successful candidate will cover a wide range of topics, including police, local government, education and enterprise stories. Accuracy is essential.

The Daily is an award-winning, family-owned newspaper founded in 1912.
The newspaper covers
Morgan, Limestone and Lawrence counties.
